Angola/South Africa: Coach Filemon Devises Strategies for South Africa Chan Match
The head coach of the national football team, Romeu Filemon, said Wednesday in Luanda that he is studying in details South Africa, opponents of Angola, on the 17th October, in Pretoria for the first "leg" game of the last round for the CHAN2016 Cup.
Speaking at a press conference that served to announce the list of pre-selected players, the national squad coach said that South Africa is "an opponent who is being well studied both from the individual and collective point of view."
He said that South Africa is preparing in Central America, where they will hold two friendly matches with local teams.
As for the 23 pre-selected players, he said to have confidence in the quality of theirs, adding that they are the ones that have been highlighted in their teams along the Girabola2015, leaving, however, the door open for other input, taking into account the second "leg" match, set for 24th October in Luanda.
The CHAN Cup competition is reserved for home-based players and will be played in 2016, in Rwanda.
