Algeria: Tourism Development in Algeria Implies Changing Mentalities, Stresses PM
Success in any investment in tourism implies a change in mentalities, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Monday in Dubai.
"Tourism doesn't only require means, but it also entails changing mentalities," underlined Sellal during his meeting with Algerian businessmen living in the United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of his participation in the World Government Summit.
In this regard, he insisted on the role of Algerian businessmen in the UAE or elsewhere in the promotion of tourism and further sectors."
Sellal outlined the efforts made in past years in the fields of personnel training, recalling that Algeria counts "1.5 million students in 92 universities."
"It is imperative that Algeria manages to achieve economic growth, notably following the 47% fall in oil and gas prices."
Indeed, Sellal mentioned some economic projects, namely "the 6 million container capacity Giant Port in west Cherchell, in partnership with China."
