Speaking to press at the end of the meeting, Charles Doubane said the occasion served to discuss with President Jose Eduardo dos Santos issues relating to cooperation between the two countries, coupled with the fact that Angola has helped CAR authorities during the process of transition and the elections that took place in the end of last year."

The diplomat thanked the Head of State and the Angolan people for the support provided to Central African Republic.

The Angolan Foreign minister, Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti, witnessed the audience.
CAR is a member country of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), experienced during the past years an inter-religious conflict that killed thousands of people and caused a large number of refugees.
