Algeria: Benin to Import Algerian Butane Gas, Says President Thomas Boni Yayi
Benin plans to import Algerian butane gas to meet its energy needs, President Thomas Boni Yayi has announced Wednesday in Oran, at the end of his State visit to Algeria.
He hailed the role of the Algerian State in terms of energy development, saying: "what I saw today in the petrochemical area of Arzew is impressive."
Noting that energy determines development, he said that "without energy, we cannot speak of development."
On the other hand, the Head of State of Benin expressed his county's commitment to "boosting the economic partnership with Algeria," to reach "a win-win partnership."
"We have forged a strategic partnership with Algeria, which was the first partner of Benin," he said.
"For strengthening the relations between the two countries, we want to launch an air line between Benin and Algeria," the President of Benin said.
The President of Benin, who ended a three-day state visit to Algeria on Wednesday, visited the LNG 3Z complex, where he was informed of the investments in the petrochemical activity in Arzew.
