Angolan Head of State Congratulates Burundian Counterpart on Re-Election
The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, last Wednesday congratulated his counterpart of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza, on being re-elected to this post.
According to a note from the Civil Office of the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos expressed his support for Pierre Nkurunziza on his intention to form a Government of Unity and National Reconciliation, with a view to consolidating the democratic system and propitiate economic and social development in Burundi.
The same note also states that José Eduardo dos Santos has sent to the Chinese Head of State, Xi Jinping, a message of consternation for the death of over one hundred people in a big explosion that took place on 12 August, in the port zone of Tianjin City.
In face of such a tragic accident, President Eduardo dos Santos expressed to the Chinese people government his deep condolences.
Meanwhile, the Angolan Head of State also sent a condolence message to his counterpart of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, for the death of 54 people who were on board of the TRIGANA, an Indonesian plane that crashed this August 15 in that Asian country.
