Angola Attends AfDB Annual Assembly in Côte d'Ivoire
Angola is participating since this Tuesday in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, in the 50th Annual Assembly of the African Development Bank (AFDB) with a delegation headed by the secretary of State for Budget, Aristides Safeca, and also comprises the Angolan representative in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ana Dias Lourenço.
According to sources linked to the office of the Ivorian Head of State about 4000 people are expected to participate in the gathering, which Côte d'Ivoire is hosting for the second time, after hosting it in 2010.
According to na AfDB communiqué, the AfBD gathering in Côte d'Ivoire is to be attended Finance ministers and Reserve Bank governors of 54 regional member countries and 24 non regional members, as well as 2,500 delegates representing various institutions.
ANGOP has learnt that on Thursday the meeting will also elect the eighth chairperson of the institution, for which post will be running candidates from Cabo-Verde, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Tunisia, Chad, Mali and Zimbabwe.
