Angola and Sweden intend to strengthen cooperation in economic field
Luanda - Angola and the Kingdom of Sweden want to strengthen economic cooperation, according to the minister of Minister for Strategic Development and Nordic Cooperation of Sweden, Kristina Persson.
The minister said so to press on Tuesday, at the end of an audience with the Secretary of State for Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ângela Bragança.
According to Kristina Persson, Angola and Sweden have already been cooperating in the development field for 30 years, but it will continue to be strengthened and deepened through stronger economic cooperation.
The Swedish minister added that the meeting also served to analyze the common interest issues.
The Swedish minister also highlighted the rapid development of the country in recent years, with regard to the growth of infrastructures.
On her turn, the Secretary of State for Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ângela Bragança, stressed that the country and Sweden have continuous cooperation for 40 years, developed not only in the political domain but also in the development cooperation.
She explained that now the two countries are focusing on this economic cooperation, especially at international level.
The Swedish official is paying a two-day official visit to Angola, as part of the celebration of 40 years of political and diplomatic relations between Angola and the Kingdom of Sweden.
