Dr Tedros Adhanom, Ethiopia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, held discussions with Egypt's Foreign Affairs Minister, Sameh Dhoukry, in Copenhagen on Tuesday (November 18) on the sidelines of the High Level Ministerial Partnership Forum on Somalia.
Dr. Tedros underlined that candid, honest and continued consultation, collaboration and co-operation was crucial to enhance and boost Ethio-Egypt relations. He stressed that Ethiopia and Egypt had interlinked and common interests in all social, economic and political areas.
These, he said, required due attention and a strong follow up by both sides. Mr. Shoukry said that sophisticated business-to-business links and relations and a strong economic partnership was vital to expand the relationship of the two countries to the highest levels. The ministers also discussed the current situation in Somalia and in South Sudan and agreed that Ethiopia and Egypt were committed to support all efforts to bring about long-lasting solutions to the problems of the peoples of Somalia and South Sudan.
