Uganda Seeks to Further Develop Cooperation With Algeria
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda Monday in Algiers expressed his country's will to further develop cooperation with Algeria in various areas, adding that he was optimistic about the future of relations between the two countries.
"I'm very optimistic about the future of our bilateral relations," President Museveni told reporters following discussions with President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
Uganda's leader said he broached with the head of State the opportunities to develop trade between Algeria and Uganda.
"We discussed cooperation, especially in energy (oil and gas), higher education and training formation," Ugandan president said.
Museveni said he also rose with President Bouteflika regional and international issues of common interest, especially the restoration of peace in Libya and the region.
