Angolan president meets Sao Tomean counterpart
Luanda - The Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, met on Wednesday at Luanda’s Presidential Palace his counterpart of Sao Tome and Principe, Manuel Pinto da Costa, with whom he discussed issues of bilateral interest.
Regional and international character issues have also been addressed in the meeting between José Eduardo dos Santos and Pinto da Costa, who arrived today in Luanda.
Manuel Pinto da Costa, who will return on Thursday to his country, will attend the funeral ceremonies of the Angolan nationalist, Lucio Rodrigo Leite Barreto de Lara, who died last Saturday by disease, whose remains are going to be buried around 3 p.m on Wednesday, at Alto das Cruzes cemetery.
Lucio Rodrigo Leite Barreto de Lara, also known as Tchiweka, married, son of Lúcio Barreto Lara Gouveia and Clementina Lara Leite, was born on April 9, 1929, in Caála municipality in central Huambo Province.
He was Central Committee member of the MPLA politburo and MP of People and National Assemblies.
