Swazi King Mswati to visit Namibia
Swaziland’s King Mswati III is expected to visit the headquarters of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) in Windhoek on Thursday.
The Swazi monarch, who is the current chair of SACU, is expected to hold general talks with the union’s secretariat as well as interact with the staff, the Namibia Press Agency reported on Monday.
SACU, the 105 year old customs union, serves as the engine for regional integration and development among its five member states – Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, South Africa and Swaziland.
King Mswati, who is also the chair of the Southern African Community Development (SADC), toured headquarters of the SADC bloc in Gaborone, Botswana last week.
